Pandora's jukebox

Have you perhaps visited www.pandora.com? It's this really cool web app that lets you build your own random-play radio stations from the Music Genome Project's database based on music or artists that you specify. The trick is to give Pandora enough of the right songs per station to work with. Doing this, I haven't had many songs played on my stations that I didn't like.

Pandora is a simple, elegant, focused app. And then it's free. And it works. I created a station with a few songs that I had on a playlist on my MP3 player and on it's own Pandora recommended some of the other songs on that particular playlist for my station. It also auto-queued some of my favourite songs in that genre for later play. A computer program that intelligently categorizes and plays music the way listeners do. Fantastic!
